A big Success for MarediModa 2017 with a rise of 12%

The sixteenth edition of Maredimoda, the international trade fair of European fabrics for beachwear, underwear and athleisure, held at Palais Des Festivals in Cannes on November 7-9, 2017, has successfully performed and ended with an increase of 12% compared to last year data.

More than 3000 buyers were recorded from Italy, France, Spain, England and Germany and a vertical growth was shown by United States and Russia.

 “The preconditions were actually cause for optimism – says Marco Borioli, President of the fair – based on the high increase of exhibiting companies however, we would have never expected such an amazing and categorical result, especially in view of the general outcomes of international textile trade fairs. First of all, such an unequivocal achievement is a reward for both the fair formula and the quality of exhibited collections as well as the various opportunities offered for in-depth examination, the events, the trends presentation and above all the warm and homely atmosphere experienced at the fair. Anybody working in these three benchmark sectors cannot miss the fair”.

During the fair days the winners of “The Link 2017” contest addressed to the fashion designers of the most famous European schools, were also awarded: Sara Voltarel from ISGMD Institute was the winner for Beachwear and Mattia Rainò from Secoli Institute in Milan for Underwear
